How it works

Five steps from invisible to indexed.

GEO Radar is a measurement platform with a publishing tail. Here's the loop, end to end.

  1. 1

    What we measure

For each tracked prompt, GEO Radar queries the major answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini — on a recurring schedule. We extract three signals from every response:

    • Brand mentions — does your brand appear in the answer? In what position relative to competitors?
    • Citations — what URLs does the engine cite, and how do they break down across your owned domains, news/media, Reddit, forums, Wikipedia, social, and other sources?
    • Sentiment — is the framing positive, neutral, or cautious?

Everything stores as time-series so you can see whether your last content push moved the needle, not just where you stand today.

  2. 2

    What we audit

Paste a URL. We run two parallel passes:

    • Structured analysis — heading hierarchy, schema.org markup, Open Graph tags, lists, paragraph structure, mobile / robots / language declarations. Deterministic, fast, cheap.
    • Readiness analysis — semantic repetition, summary blocks, section integrity, jargon density, paragraph cohesion, clarity, and assertiveness. Higher cost, higher signal.

Each dimension scores with a written recommendation, not just a rubber-stamped grade. The audit also detects whether the page renders statically — most AI crawlers don't execute JavaScript.

See the methodology page for the full audit specification.

  3. 3

    How prompts get generated

The hardest onboarding question in this category is “what should I track?” GEO Radar walks you through an 8-step wizard — brand, competitors, topics, personas, Search Console (optional), seed keywords, email — and generates six prompt categories automatically:

    • Brand prompts — non-branded category questions
    • Competitor prompts — “best alternatives to X”-style patterns
    • ICP prompts — persona-driven questions
    • Topic prompts — topic-adjacent questions
    • SEO-keyword prompts — branded questions from seed keywords
    • Search Console prompts — questions inferred from your real GSC query data

You curate, tag, and add — the wizard gets you 80% of the way without a blank page.

  4. 4

    Closing the loop with publishing

Most monitoring tools stop at the dashboard. GEO Radar continues into the publishing surface that AI crawlers actually read. The same pipeline that turns a brief into an article ships to:

    • WordPress.com (OAuth)
    • Self-hosted WordPress (Application Passwords)
    • Shopify blog
    • Any SFTP- or FTP-accessible static site

And echoes platform-flavored citations onto Medium and LinkedIn — the surfaces AI engines often ground in even when they don't cite your domain directly.

  5. 5

    Measuring lift

Every published article triggers a follow-up scan. The lift report shows whether the publication moved the brand-coverage curve, the share-of-voice ranking, and the citation-source mix on the prompts that prompted the article in the first place. Share the report with your team or your client; the same data feeds the recommendations engine's next round of priorities.
